  • Default Prevention Outreach and Counseling: We make early contact with borrowers at risk of delinquency through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, and text messaging. Our goal is to identify struggling borrowers early, educate them about income-driven repayment (IDR) plans, and discuss options such as deferments or forbearances.
  • Default Rehabilitation Outreach and Counseling: While the federal Fresh Start initiative paused the need for default rehabilitation, we have a proven history of providing lifechanging outreach for those who need it most (Source: educationdata.org). We’re poised to continue providing these vital services once the consequences of default resume at the end of September. For those in default, we guide borrowers through rehabilitation, helping them restore their financial standing and regain control over their loan repayments.

Our loan counselors initiate contact with delinquent borrowers as early as 60 days past due, providing up to six outbound calls each month until the delinquency is resolved. In addition, our team sends personalized emails, educational resources, and text messages to keep borrowers informed and engaged.

Additionally, borrowers can initiate chat communications with our live Success Coaches, ensuring they receive the support they need in real time. We don’t rely on automated chatbots — every interaction is handled by a knowledgeable professional who offers empathetic and personalized guidance. Borrowers also benefit from our skip-tracing services, which help ensure we can maintain communication even if their contact information changes.
